CTInstruments adds THCVA and CBL to its testing portfolio

CTInstruments, an award-winning manufacturer of affordable HPLC systems for analysis of cannabis plants and products, adds THCVA and CBL to its portfolio of tested cannabinoids.

“We`ve had a tremendous interest in these cannabinoids, especially tetrahydrocannabivarinic acid (THCVA), which is found frequently in cannabis plants grown and tested by our customers, especially those in Asia.” 

THCVA is a precursor to THCV, which has potential in the treatment of type 2 diabetes and in appetite control. It is frequently found in central Asian and South African strains.

THCV is fully legal in most jurisdictions, including the United States.

CBL (cannabicyclol) is a non-psychotropic cannabinoid formed by the degradation of cannabichromene (CBC). Its health benefits are not yet understood due to the lack of research. CBL is fully legal.
